For this new housing development at Baufeld 113 West in Hamburg, Germany, Atelier Kempe Thill is collaborating closely with the architects of Blauraum (Hamburg) and Heide & von Beckerath (Berlin), as well as with the landscape architects Muf Architecture/Art (London). This new project is part of the Baakenhafen master plan designed by Hosoya Schaefer Architects (Zurich) within the well-known HafenCity area. The new tower—designed by Atelier Kempe Thill—offers a variety of different apartment types, which enjoy fantastic panoramas over the harbor, the river Elbe, and Hamburg’s inner city. All apartments have generously sized balconies, connecting each room to an outside space. Atelier Kempe Thill received the commission for this project after taking first prize in the competition.
