Atelier Kempe Thill won an invited competition for a new office building for Magna Real Estate in Hamburg, Germany. The tower is situated next to the Airbus factory in the Finkenwerder quarter and will be a part of Hamburg’s famous Elbe waterfront in direct spatial interaction with the Jenischpark, the Gorch-Fock-Park, and the river. The very compact building is set up around a central core and offers very flexible office units for rent. Part of the design is the transformation of an existing harbor building of the former shipbuilding company Deutsche Werft from the postwar period, which will now be turned into a more public facility. Atelier Kempe Thill received the commission for this project after taking first prize in the invited competition.
