The Infrabel Academy is a new education building designed by Atelier Kempe Thill that was erected next to the metro station West in Brussels, Belgium, close to the historic city center. This learning hub provides space for the professional training and education of specialists in various operational and maintenance areas within the Belgian railway infrastructure. It can also host conferences and other kinds of public events. The ground floor of the academy has two entrance halls leading to a large auditorium with 300 seats and various spacious workshops. Next to classrooms, on the second floor there is a daylight-lit hall covered by a sculptural shed roof. The building adheres to passive-house standards.
