In 2013, the team of Atelier Kempe Thill and Achtergael architecten (Ghent) won the two-stage competition for a new master plan on the former military site of Rochendaal in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. The design task is the implementation of a sustainable master plan for more than 350 houses, the refurbishment of an English landscape park including a little castle from the nineteenth century, the transformation of several historical barrack buildings, and the development of a wetland park along Cicindria Creek.
