After winning a European tender in 2010, Atelier Kempe Thill started working on a project (later canceled) for two embassies in a suburb of Rabat, Morocco: the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The design was based largely on the specific North African climate, the availability of local construction methods, and various safety standards. The aim of the project was to create a very pleasant, low-tech office building that effectively stimulates cooperation between these two countries and Morocco.
