The German School is not just an educational institution but also a cultural center for the German community in the Polish capital of Warsaw. Atelier Kempe Thill’s proposal, which won third prize, designs the school as a compact two-story building enclosing the two main spaces of the sports hall and the auditorium. In the middle of the school is a centrally placed courtyard that connects the entrance area with the athletic fields behind the building.
