Atelier Kempe Thill

The client of this project’s terraced houses desired a traditional housing floor plan that is typical for this region of the Netherlands. Atelier Kempe Thill chose to comply but introduced two new elements into this type—a void and a full-glass skin for the living room. Because of these new elements, there is a stronger emphasis on the logic of the floor plan. A housing type is created that fulfills the conventional standard but also stimulates other ways of living.
