This traveling museum pavilion “Light Building” designed and built by Atelier Kempe Thill is a self-contained white box sized 15 by 4 by 6 meters. The pavilion was constructed out of standard Dutch beer crates in a limited edition and without color. Since the beer crates are translucent, light can fall through the load-bearing walls, creating an almost sacral space. The filtered light is perfect for exhibiting objects of art. The building is extremely cost-efficient at only €55 per cubic meter. It is also very flexible in construction and is capable of being erected in a single day by six people.
