Roberto Gargiani and Skira edition published in spring 2024 the first intellectual biography of Atelier Kempe Thill. The book reconstructs in seventeen chapters the creative principles of the office's work. Various projects executed over the last 25 years are presented in a wider European cultural context. Gargiani depicts how very early ideas in the architecture are still present and significant in the current building production. The underlying argument “per un razionalismo antagonista europeo” (for an antagonistic European rationalism) describes how deep the work of Atelier Kempe Thill is rooted in the European tradition of rationalist architecture, how the office makes a vivid re-interpretation of these values and keeps them relevant in the context of the 21st century.
